Legacy on the Loop

 

Imagine the thrill of the open sea, the wind whipping through your hair, and the sun kissing your skin as you embark on a  journey filled with discovery and excitement.  Welcome to the   world of Skip and Alison, two passionate boaters who have turned their dreams into reality aboard their beloved vessel, Legacy.

  • 2015 Riviera 565 SUV

    October 2020 thru July 2021

    This beautiful Riviera was purchased in October of 2020 in Onekama MI. Skip and Alison named the vessel Legacy and began their Great Loop adventure in Onekema MI stopping in Sagatuck MI before making her way to Chicago and venturing down the inland rivers ultimately coming out in Mobile AL. She then travelled across the Gulf of Mexico stopping in her Home Port Treasure Island, Florida for the holidays. Then continued her voyage around the Florida Keys and up the eastern US coast. After a side trip into Long Island Sound visiting places like Mystic CT, Newport RI and Sag Harbor NY she returned to NYC to begin travels up the Hudson River to the Erie Canal. Skip and Alison decided they missed having a flybridge and were not going to bring the SUV back to Florida. Once on the Eric Canal she was put on the market with the intention of finding an owner upon finishing the Great Loop in Michigan. Fortunately or Unfortunately she found her new owner almost immediately and was transferred in Brewerton NY on Lake Onieda.

  • 2003 Eastbay 43

    October 2021 thru October 2022

    After selling the Riviera Skip began shopping for a boat already in the north to finish the loop. This classic Eastbay 43 was found near Providence RI. She was purchased in October 2021 and stored for the winter in RI. Come May of 2022 she was launched, named Legacy and began her journey down Long Island Sound, through NYC and up the Hudson River to the Erie Canal finally reaching Lake Ontario where she would stay in Fair Haven, NY for a few weeks while Skip and Alison enjoyed their Cottage. On June 30, 2022 she began her journey across Lake Ontario arriving in Kingston ON in time for Canada Day.

    Continuing her travels Legacy travelled through the Trent Severn Waterway into Georgian Bay, the North Channel ultimately arriving in Onekema MI to conclude Skip and Alison's Great Loop adventure.

  • 2025 Riviera 46 SMY

    May of 2025 to ..........

    After missing the cruising lifestyle, Skip and Alison ordered a brand new Riviera from Australia. She was 18 months in the making. Finally arriving in the United States in April of 2025 she was commissioned and ready for adventure. Skip and Alison left Stuart Florida around the 1st of May to venture up the East Coast towards the Chesapeake Bay and possibly New England.
